Eric McAliley brings more than a decade of legal experience to his representation of professionals and the construction industry. He draws on his education in accounting/tax and unique prior career experience in engineering with Pratt & Whitney and the South Florida Water Management District to bring added value to his legal work. Eric defends cases on behalf of clients involving issues of professional malpractice, legal malpractice, negligence, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and other common law and statutory claims. Eric also represents financial professionals including securities brokers-dealers, accountants and insurance agents. On the finance side, he defends brokers and broker-dealers in securities arbitration proceedings before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), including claims of churning, selling away, suitability, “Blue Sky Laws” violations and state and federal claims arising from the relationship between securities brokers and their clients.

Eric’s construction practice concentrates on defect litigation for developers and builders. His experience includes every element of construction of buildings from the ground up including. building cladding systems; windows and framing; roofing; foundations; reinforced, prestressed and post tensioned concrete construction; drywall assemblies; masonry construction; stucco; metal and plastic piping and many other building systems and components.
