Professional Experience

Chris Broussard is a seasoned insolvency and commercial litigation attorney with substantial experience in debtor, creditor, equity, and fiduciary representation. He is known for his commitment to providing inventive and precise counsel to clients.

Chris received his J.D. from the Emory University, School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia, a Certificate in Intellectual Property through the TI:GER Program at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (majoring in Economics) from the Warrington College of Business and completed the Integrated Product & Process Design Program through the College of Engineering at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

At Emory Law, Chris was elected an executive editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal, interned at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta Division, served as a bankruptcy law teaching assistant, and received the Medal of Excellence from the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Prior to joining Lydecker, Chris worked at a large national firm in Tampa, Florida, a prominent aviation law firm in Coral Gables, Florida, a leading insolvency and commercial litigation practice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and clerked at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale Division.

Prior to law school, Chris worked as a project manager at Eaton Corporation in Avery Creek, North Carolina and in regulatory affairs at Cordis Biomedical in Miami Lakes, Florida.

Chris has been named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch (2021-2024) for his work in Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law and Litigation – Bankruptcy. He is a member of the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar, the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida, and the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys cycling and spending time at the beach.
