Associate Attorney, June 2018 – Present

Experience in representing clients in the defense of complex products liability and toxic tort cases.

  • Drafted a motion for summary judgment in a contentious case and argued the motion before the Court, which resulted in Court’s ruling in favor of the motion.
  • Handle 40+ case-load, developing discovery plan and responding to discovery, ensuring that all statutory deadlines are met, appropriate experts are retained and materials provided for their review.
  • Take the depositions of key witnesses, including Plaintiffs and percipient witnesses developing testimony favorable to clients resulting in early dismissal from the cases for mutual waiver of costs and fees.
  • Take the depositions of Plaintiffs’ designated expert witnesses and elicit testimony for use in negotiating a favorable settlement.
  • Co-chaired a trial and handled all pre-trial matters, including drafting and opposing motions in limine, evidentiary objections to the affirmative designations from the former testimony, exhibit, witness and jury instructions lists, and assisting with the jury selection process prior to the resolution of the case.
  • Drafted and successfully argued a motion in limine to exclude a key corporate document, which opposing counsel sought to introduce at trial in support of their claim for punitive damages asserted against the client.
  • Drafted numerous motions for summary judgments which resulted in the complete dismissal of the clients in exchange for mutual waiver of costs and fees.
  • Consult with experts in various fields, including epidemiology, industrial hygiene and pulmonology to prepare them for depositions and attend and defend their depositions.
