Professional Experience

Angelique Hernandez is a trial lawyer in Lydecker’s Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Miami offices, trusted by sophisticated clients to defend their highest-stakes litigation. Her practice spans all aspects of federal and state civil trial litigation, with a concentrated focus on employment, general liability, premises liability, and wrongful-death matters.

Angelique represents multinational corporations, Fortune 25 companies, municipalities, and high-profile “A-list” clients in complex disputes involving FLSA, FEHA, and FMLA claims, as well as wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and wage-and-hour class and representative actions. She has tried more than a dozen cases to verdict and is equally formidable in driving efficient, strategic resolutions outside the courtroom. Known for her disciplined and tailored litigation strategy, Angelique develops case-specific defenses that position her clients for decisive wins, earning her a reputation as a trusted advisor and relentless advocate. Angelique began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender, where she represented more than 1,000 indigent clients and honed the courtroom instincts that define her trial practice today.

Angelique earned her Juris Doctor, with honors, from Florida International University College of Law in May 2021. She served as Director of Coaches for the Moot Court Team, was awarded Best Orator, and was an Emory Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition Semifinalist. Angelique competed on her law school’s Trial Team and received the award for Outstanding Trial Team Member of the Year, the Tom Gamba Trial Advocate Scholarship, and recognition as an AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Semifinalist. She was also a Senior Staff Editor on the FIU Law Review and held board positions with the Women’s Law Society and the Cuban American Bar Association.

Driven by an unwavering commitment to service, Angelique’s dedication to her community is foundational to her practice. Her pro bono work has earned outstanding service awards, and she has received high recognition from the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office for her “Loyalty, Excellence, and Dedication to the Cause of Justice.” These values continue to define her approach to advocacy and leadership today.
