[March 27, 2025] We are excited to share some fantastic news with you—Lydecker has expanded into Texas! In our ongoing commitment to serve you better, we have opened two new offices in the Dallas metro area, marking a significant milestone in our firm’s national growth.
Leading our new Dallas offices is Partner Christopher K. Chapaneri, whose extensive legal expertise spans civil litigation, construction defect, premises liability, and more. With a successful track record in high-stakes cases, including appearances before the Texas Supreme Court and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Christopher is exceptionally equipped to advance our service offerings in Texas and beyond.

Some examples of our Texas Practice Group’s significant experience within the following practice areas:
Amusement Park/Water Park/Adventure Park Liability – These claims are complex as they may involve product liability issues, premises liability issues, and professional liability issues all in the same litigation fact pattern. Moreover, these claims often involve minors which further complicates resolution. Making matters more complicated, these claims also often involve pre-injury waivers and issues involving enforcement of contractual terms against minors. This practice group has represented trampoline parks, water parks, go-kart tracks, and amusement parks throughout Texas and in Oklahoma and have actually made case law at the appellate level regarding enforcement of pre-injury waivers and arbitration agreements against minors.
Premises Liability – Slip and Fall Incidents – Our team has extensive experience defending commercial property owners/property managers in incidents arising from personal injuries allegedly sustained on the premises. We work closely with clients to assess liability, gather evidence, and develop strong legal arguments to minimize exposure.
Premises Liability – Human Trafficking – We have successfully defended commercial property owners/property managers/employers in allegations where hotels were sued based on the Texas Human Trafficking Statute, Chapter 98 of the Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code.
Products Liability – We have represented product liability manufacturers in claims brought against them under the Texas Product Liability Act, Chapter 82 of the Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code. This includes third party sellers. Whether through early case resolution, settlement negotiations, or vigorous courtroom defense, we are committed to protecting our clients’ interests and minimizing potential liability.
Commercial Trucking & Transportation – We have handled a wide range of negligence based cases involving commercial trucking and transportation matters. This includes matters involving interstate commerce, intrastate commerce, as well as the Mexico Commercial Driver’s Treaty.
Negligent Security – We have represented premises owners in cases involving alleged personal injuries sustained as a result of criminal activity on the premises, including assault, sexual assault, and murder.
Negligence Hiring, Retention, Supervision and Training – We have represented numerous employers in claims involving negligent hiring, retention, supervision, and training. Texas has not formally recognized these torts, but suits of this nature are abundant.
General Negligence – We have handled an extensive list of matters involving just general negligence based allegations resulting in alleged personal injuries. This has included everything from dog-bite cases to over spraying herbicide in vegetation management practices.
Wrongful Death / Survivor Statute Liability – We have defended several parties in cases involving wrongful death claims and/or survivor claims brought by relatives of the decedent. These have included accidental drowning claims, commercial motor vehicle claims, and premises liability claims.
Non-Subscriber Worker’s Compensation Claims – We have defended a number of employers who do not subscribe to the Texas Worker’s Compensation Act. In Texas, the state encourages all employers to subscribe to the Texas Worker’s Compensation Insurance program. As a punishment, non-subscribers are liability for 100% of damages if they are found just 1% liable for an employee injured at the workplace.
Breach of Contract – We have represented companies in a wide range of breach of contract matters ranging from commercial paper to commercial lease disputes.
Construction Defect – We have represented owners, general contractors, and subcontractors on a wide range of construction defect claims.
In addition, Chapaneri brings substantial experience in handling high exposure and high-risk cases, further strengthening Lydecker’s ability to serve clients across multiple industries in Texas and beyond. Chapaneri will also be providing services in the State of Oklahoma.
Managing Partner Mark Hendricks comments, “Our move into the Fort Worth/Dallas area represents a significant step forward for Lydecker.
