LYDECKER SECURES DISMISSAL WITH PREJUDICE IN INCARCERATION RELATED CLAIM
MIAMI, FLORIDA – September 2, 2026 – Lydecker Partner Yina Cabrera, Esq., and Associates Andres Hidalgo, Esq., and Rachel Marolf, Esq., secured the dismissal with prejudice of claims brought against the Florida Department of Corrections.
The case was filed in Florida’s Eighteenth Judicial Circuit. The plaintiff alleged, among other things, that she was mistreated while incarcerated at the Bradford County Jail and suffered injuries as a result of the care and treatment she received while at the facility.
On August 18, the court held a hearing on the Department of Corrections’ Motion to Dismiss. Following the hearing, the court granted the motion with prejudice, bringing the claims against the Department of Corrections to a conclusion.
Cabrera, Hidalgo, and Marolf collaborated in developing and presenting the successful defense strategy on behalf of the Department of Corrections.
