Professional Experience

Victoria T. Newman is an associate at Lydecker LLP Miami office where her practice focuses on Property Insurance Litigation. Prior to defending Property Insurance Companies at Lydecker LLP, Ms. Newman was working for the Plaintiffs in first party property insurance litigation. Ms. Newman has litigation experience for both the Plaintiff and Defendant in first party property insurance litigation, making her an important asset to Lydecker LLP.
In 2012, Ms. Newman enlisted in the United States Navy, working as an Airframe Structural mechanic for the largest Helicopter in the U.S. Navy, the MH-53E. During her service to this country, she was deployed twice to the Kingdom of Bahrain. While deployed, she was leading her team in maintaining the MH-53E, which was the only Helicopter capable of keeping the Strait of Hormuz clean of mines, as well as allowing for the transport of special mission personnel and cargo throughout the middle east.
Prior to Ms. Newman’s service with the U.S. Navy, she graduated cum laude with her Bachelors in Global Leadership and Philosophy from St. Thomas University. After receiving her Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy, Ms. Newman attended law school at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where she was a member of the academic legal publication of the International and Comparative Law Journal (“ILSA”), as well as the Secretary of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (“SALDF”). Ms. Newman graduated from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 2019, and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2020.
