Pooja Patel is an associate in the firm’s Miami office. Ms. Patel’s practice includes all aspects of federal and state civil litigation with a primary focus in labor and employment law, government liability, professional liability, commercial litigation, and civil rights litigation.
Ms. Patel earned her J.D. from Florida International University College of Law in May 2020. During law school, Ms. Patel interned for the Honorable William L. Thomas on the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida and at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Ms. Patel also competed on behalf of FIU on the Board of Appellate Advocates and the Negotiation and Mediation Team. While on the Board of Appellate Advocates Ms. Patel competed in the Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition, making it to the Semi-Finals. Ms. Patel was also the Internal Vice President of the North American South Asian Law Student Association. Furthermore, Ms. Patel was a Dean’s Scholar, making Dean’s List almost every semester, and was awarded an Excellence in Civic Engagement Medallion for her pro-bono work. Prior to law school, Ms. Patel worked as a Paralegal at two of the most prominent corporate immigration firms in Houston, Texas.
