Natalie Meruelo is a Miami native and of counsel of the firm’s Miami office. Ms. Meruelo is a member of the Government Liability, General Litigation and Appellate Practice Groups. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Meruelo was an associate at a private equity and alternative investment fund in New York.
Ms. Meruelo received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where she majored in International Business and minored in French. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Ms. Meruelo was a legislative intern for Senator Mel Martinez, and interned in the Capital Markets Investment Funds division of Overseas Private Investment Corporation, a US federal government agency. Ms. Meruelo received a Masters in International Economic Law from L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (SciencesPo Paris), and an LL.M from University of Pennsylvania Law School. Natalie also received a Certificate in Business from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Finance and Private Equity.
Ms. Meruelo obtained her Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law and graduated Cum Laude. During law school, Ms. Meruelo pursued a prestigious civil practice externship at Holland & Knight’s Miami office, and served as a clerk for the honorable Judge Maria Elena Verde in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Miami Dade County, Florida. Ms. Meruelo also received a Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
