Professional Experience

Megan Ortiz is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Ms. Ortiz’s practice includes all aspects of civil litigation with a primary focus on professional liability, employment law, and general liability.

Ms. Ortiz earned her J.D. from Western State College of Law where she was awarded a scholastic merit scholarship and received the Business Law Practice Certificate with distinction. Ms. Ortiz also served as the Business Editor of the Western State Law Review and was a member of the Business Law Association.

Prior to joining Lydecker, LLP, Ms. Ortiz worked as a law clerk at a firm specializing in business litigation and liquor license law. During this time, she gained valuable experience working with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control as well as areas such as land use and real estate, administrative law, employment disputes, and premises liability. Additionally, Ms. Ortiz worked as a legal intern at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office within the T.A.R.G.E.T. Gang Unit. Outside of the legal field, Ms. Ortiz also has significant experience working as an entertainment travel agent.
