Claire Hughes is an Associate in the firm’s Miami office. Ms. Hughes’ practice involves all aspects of federal and state civil litigation with a primary focus on labor and employment law, government liability, commercial litigation, civil rights litigation, and personal injury.
Ms. Hughes earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in May 2021. During law school, Ms. Hughes interned for the Honorable Kimberly Menninger of the Superior Court of Orange County, gaining exposure to various aspects of criminal law. Ms. Hughes also served as a legal intern for Vital Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Bang Energy, handling internal and external labor and employment disputes as well as trademark and copyright issues. Ms. Hughes’ time with Vital Pharmaceuticals allowed her the opportunity to handle matters from an in-house perspective, focusing on the best outcome for the company. While at the University of Miami School of Law, Ms. Hughes was a member of the Business Law Society and the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. Ms. Hughes also partook in the Litigation Skills program at the U, gaining invaluable litigation experience from Miami’s finest litigators. Additionally, Ms. Hughes was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Prior to law school, Ms. Hughes interned at a civil litigation firm in Nebraska and participated in the Baylor Negotiation Competition during her time at the University of Arizona, both enhancing her litigation experience.
