Professional Experience

Chelsea Cabrera is an associate at the firm’s Miami Office. Ms. Cabrera focuses her practice on first-party insurance defense litigation, with an emphasis in bad faith litigation, fraud investigation, water damage claims, and windstorm coverage issues. Ms. Cabrera earned her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law in December 2019, graduating with honors. During law school, Ms. Cabrera interned for Judge Marcia G. Cooke of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Prior to joining Lydecker, Ms. Cabrera gained significant litigation and trial experience as an attorney with the Miami Dade Public Defender’s office where she successfully litigated hundreds of cases. Ms. Cabrera is admitted to both the Florida and Illinois State Bar.
